Dog Friendly Memorial Day Fun

Some Saturdays at Dougie's are just great days to be a dog person. And then there are Saturdays like May 23rd, when we get to make it count for something bigger. This Memorial Day weekend, we're honoring the people who served alongside some of the most loyal partners imaginable: their dogs. We've put together a full day of events, specials, and moments worth remembering, with K9s for Warriors at the center of it all.

Here's the full rundown of what's happening and why you (and your pup) should be there.

Saturday, May 23rd · Full Schedule

  • 10:00 – 11:00 AM — Dog Training Elite Group Class

    • We're kicking off the morning with a group training session from Dog Training Elite. A great opportunity to work with your pup, pick up new skills, and meet fellow dog parents before the doors open for lunch.

  • 11:00 AM — Lunch Opens

    • We're open and serving. Food and drink specials run all day, so come hungry and stay a while.

  • 12:00 – 4:00 PM — K9s for Warriors Activation

    • Meet the team, learn about the mission, and find out how rescued shelter dogs are changing the lives of veterans living with PTSD, TBI, and other invisible wounds of war.

  • All Day — Patriotic Music + Giveaways + Raffle

    • The soundtrack is on point, the energy is high, and we've got prizes. Stick around — the raffle is going to be a big one.

  • 7:00 PM — Captain America on the Big Screen in the Yard

    • As the sun goes down, we're firing up the big screen for a movie night under the stars. Grab a cold drink, find your spot, and let your dog do the same.

FREE ADMISSION FOR VETERANS — PERIOD

Day pass fees are fully waived for all veterans on Saturday, May 23rd. No questions, no catch. If you served, this day is on us. We'd be honored to have you here with your pack.

Know a veteran? Send them this post. Tag them. Text it to them right now. The more, the better — that's what community is about.

DRINK A SCOUT DOG. DO SOME GOOD.

50% of every Scout Dog beer sold on May 23rd goes directly to K9s for Warriors. Cold beer. Real impact.

We're not subtle about this one: order the Scout Dog. Tell your friends to order the Scout Dog. It's a great drink, and every can you put back on Saturday goes halfway toward supporting an organization that pairs rescued shelter dogs with military veterans, two groups that deserve all the good things life has to offer.

It's one of those rare cases where "have another round" is genuinely the right call.

ABOUT K9s FOR WARRIORS

K9s for Warriors is the nation's largest provider of trained service dogs for veterans suffering from the invisible wounds of war. They rescue dogs from high-kill shelters and train them to become life-changing companions for veterans battling PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and military sexual trauma. The pairing works both ways — a dog gets a home, and a warrior gets a partner who never leaves their side.

We're proud to support their mission, and we can't wait for you to meet their team on the 23rd.

COME FOR THE COMMUNITY. STAY FOR THE MOVIE.

Whether you show up at 10am for dog training or wander in at 6pm to catch Captain America in the yard — there's no wrong way to do this day. Bring your dog. Bring your friends. Bring your family. Leave the heavy stuff at home.

This is what Dougie's is built for: good drinks, happy dogs, great people, and moments worth showing up for.
