New to Dougie's? Here's Everything You Need to Know

Whether you found us on Instagram, heard about us from a friend, or just drove past and saw the patio full of dogs, first visits to Dougie's usually come with a few questions. Here are the answers to what we hear most at the front door and in our DMs.

Do I Need a Membership to Visit?

Nope. If you're bringing your dog into the yard, you'll need a day pass or a membership. If you're just hanging out with friends and not bringing a dog, no pass is required at all. Come as you are.

What Does My Dog Need Before Their First Visit?

Every dog needs proof of current vaccinations for rabies, Bordetella, and distemper/parvo, and dogs 8 months or older must be spayed or neutered. Your dog will also need to pass our temperament assessment, which simply confirms they're comfortable and friendly around other dogs and people. This isn't about being the "perfect" dog. It's about making sure every dog in the yard, including yours, has a safe and fun experience.

Can I Bring More Than One Dog?

Yes. You'll need a pass for each dog, but additional dogs are 50% off, so bringing the whole crew is easy on your wallet.

Is There a Separate Area for Small Dogs?

We don't have a dedicated small dog area, but our play yard attendants are watching the whole yard at all times, stepping in whenever needed to keep every size and personality safe and comfortable.

Can I Bring My Own Food or Drinks?

Outside food and drinks are not allowed, including dog treats, but that's not a bad thing. Our menu covers both ends of the leash, with a real food and drink menu for you and pet-safe options for your pup. 

What If I Want to Bring a Friend?

If you're a member, you can bring one guest and their dog for free on every visit through our bring-a-friend perk. It's one of the easiest ways to introduce someone new to the Dougie's experience.

Does Dougie's Offer Boarding or Daycare?

Not directly, but our sister company, The Ark Pet Spa & Hotel, is right next door and offers boarding, daycare, grooming, and more. Dougie's memberships come with built-in discounts at The Ark, so your membership works double duty.

What's There to Do Besides Let My Dog Play?

Plenty. We regularly host trivia, bingo nights, live music, movie screenings, cornhole competitions, and games on our TVs, plus our regular weekly lineup like Singo, Wine/Whine Wednesday, and Fetch & Flex Thursdays. There's always something going on, so it's worth checking our events calendar before you plan your visit.
